AuditLink was originally designed to provide companies with the ability to extract certain documents and indexes out of the company ScanLink and provide these on a CD for their auditors to use when reviewing the accounts.

 

The auditor is not interested in all incoming letters, but is in purchase invoices and out going invoices etc. AuditLink enable companies to extract the required date in a quick and easy fashion. It can also be used to print  or email a list of documents with opening each document in turn.

 

Other uses are in the project management or client management area, where quickly a list of documents from the main system can be copied onto a laptop so that they are available for meetings without having to have a link to the main database. Or having to have a paper copy of each document at hand in the meeting. Again ideal when these could be A0 engineering drawings, which take up a lot of space.

 

If supplying a CD with the AuditLink files on the remote user does not need ScanLink to view the images. The system provides the capability for the end user to have an index of what documents are on the CD and then when selected gives them the option to view, email or print the document.

 

One further use of this system is one company that does all their scanning at their head office, but they have several remote sites. They run AuditLink once a week to create CD’s for each remote site that contain just the data for that site. This is then imported into that sites ScanLink system at the remote site. This enable remote sites to search their own ScanLink system for documents before searching the central site if not found. This of course reduces network traffic and reliance on the network being available and fast.

This product enables users to produce a CD image of specific documents from their complete ScanLink database. The reason is the client may want to give an electronic copy of their client’s documentation to another party (accountant, partner etc).
